Ron Herman Appointed To Lead Mentoring Committee of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers

We are proud to announce that Ron Herman has been appointed co-chair of a committee of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Palm Beach County Chapter . Honored to be selected by the FAWL Board of Directors, Ron will be co-chairing the Mentoring Committee for the 2014-2015 year.

Ron has always been dedicated to promoting and mentoring other members of our community and in this new leadership role, he will focus on mentoring younger or less experienced female attorneys. The Mentoring Committee is also in charge of setting up intimate, monthly luncheons, featuring engaging speakers and providing an open forum for members to discuss various issues regarding the advancement of women lawyers.

The Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) was founded in 1951 and strives to propel female attorneys into economic, social, and leadership roles of power and influence. The connectivity, resources, and benefits provided by FAWL are invaluable to its members, especially during these challenging economic times.

Membership in one’s local chapter provides young and inexperienced lawyers with the unique opportunity to propel their careers to the next level of success. One such benefit is the opportunity to attend local events and seminars that provide both networking and career development opportunities, such as the monthly luncheons put on by the Mentoring Committee and Attorney Ron Herman.

Since 1984, State FAWL has maintained a non-voting liaison seat on The Florida Bar’s Board of Governors. FAWL is a proud member of the National Women’s Bar Association, the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations, and the National Association of Women Lawyers.

Attorney Ron Herman earned his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University Law Center. He has 15 years practicing criminal defense and is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Ron Herman is a top rated lawyer, awarded the AV® Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®, and selected as Florida Super Lawyers® Rising Stars ℠ in 2010.

When Attorney Herman is not practicing law, he holds various leadership positions in organizations that are important to him and his community, such as the Neil S. Hirsch Boys and Girls Club of Wellington and the Nova Southeastern University Law Center Palm Beach County Alumni Chapter.
