2022 UPDATE: Thank you to the Village Council for reappointing Ron to another two year term.

Original Post: June 8, 2020 —  We are proud to announce that Attorney Ron Herman has been appointed to the Village of Wellington Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board (PZAB) for a two year term starting June 2020. The mission of PZAB includes conducting hearings and making recommendations to the Village Council about various land development regulations, acting as the local planning agency, and ruling on variance requests, among the Board’s other duties.

Having previously served as Chair, Ron was finishing his term as Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee. On that Committee, Ron realized his vision of raising awareness of the Committee’s work and increasing residents’ involvement. Toward that end, the Committee successfully organized the inaugural “Texting Your Life Away” essay contest. The Village Council then awarded the winners at its February 2020 meeting.

Ron Herman has served with distinction on Public Safety [Committee] [and] brought forward some great initiatives there.

Village Councilman John McGovern

Councilman Michael Drahos also commended Ron, stating that “he’s done a really great job.” Councilman Drahos formally moved to nominate Ron to PZAB and the entire Council unanimously approved the nomination. “I’m honored that the Council appointed me to the PZAB and look forward continuing to serve our community and the Council,” said Ron.
